Desert gateways like Douz and Ksar Ghilane experience mild daytime weather and crisp starry nights between October and April. If camping under the stars is on your bucket list, this is by far the ideal window.
June to August: High Heat Considerations
Midsummer temperatures routinely climb above 40°C (104°F) across the south. Extended dune trekking and overnight tent stays become challenging, though early morning or sunset excursions are still doable.
